Historic street as a kind of daily urban heritage,plays a role as daily life space."Compatibility" is an important manifestation of daily lifes space function.Improvement of compatibility of historic streets can be seen a method of gathering different behavioral actors together,which can not only coordinate conflicts in space,but also change public space into public service,making the service become common responsibility of diversified actors.Improvement of compatibility is a process of seeking compromise.The difficulty is to design a system to guide various actors to make a compromise.This system is a public space management method in which civic culture as foundation,multi-participation as condition,common contract as basis,and sustainable management as characteristics.
