With the accelerated process of populations aging in China accelerating,the traditional nuclear familys structure has changed,the family sizes miniaturizing,the empty nesters more and more.However,eldersexisting residences are mostly ordinary commercial,and those residences did not consider the problem about the eldersliving reality of its unique characteristics and the needs during the life giving the life of the elders have brought a lot of inconveniences and numerous safetys hazards.According to this,the thesis takes for a residence in Dandong,Liaoning for example,investigated this empty nest elderly couple about the households existing conditions of living,made a depth understanding of this elderly couples daily habits,and analyzed the shortcomings of every room in the residence.Aimed at two eldersliving conditions,as well as their requirements for 5 to 10 years in the future,to the residential use of space,furnitures size,and the possibility of accessibility facilities addition etc.making the suitable of elder reconstructive design,we hope to give some appropriate transformation of the suitable elderly reference for the raised residence in the region of Liaoning.Foyer sets a seat for sitting aiming at exchanging the shoes,and the mirror in the vicinity of the righthand doors direction set some weak lights,the intent of these lights through the hall of mirrors reflecting the negative space can be illuminated.To reduce the workload of toilet construction,we decided to set up the ramp height for solving the unsafe height which can easily stumble eldersproblem.Considering the hostess likes gardening,so in the direction of living room facing the bathroom putting some kind of potted plants to shade the living room separated from the bathroom to make some privacy,and place potted flowers had to solve the congestion problem.(Figure 19)Second bedroom as a mahjong room within the residences main entertainment space or the room to use welcoming the guests.So the original double bed replaced with collapsible,to give the mahjong room more spacious entertainment space.To expand the kitchen area,we move it to the restaurant with a not structural walls of the direction of the restaurants wall and put the refrigerator into the wall,reduce the goods occupying restaurant space.The master bedroom wall which is near the restaurant goes to the direction of the master bedroom from the half of the column,and there can be placed on a wine cooler space for wine storage by digging the wall.The other regions still remained fiat space and comfort.
