著名历史学家周谷城教授生前曾任中华人民共和国第六、七届全国人民代表大会常务委员会副委员长,中国农工民主党中央委员会主席、名誉主席和中国史学会主席团执行主席等职。今年正值谷老百年诞辰,特将他以86岁高龄在复旦大学历史系作的一次演讲录音稿发表,以作纪念。那是1984年在复旦大学数学楼底楼大教室,他一口气讲了两个半小时,像往日上课一样,站在讲台上,坚持不坐下,还不时在黑板上写下标题。讲演后,历史系姜义华教授即请周训芳同志根据录音作了整理,并请谷老审阅。谷老多处作了订正,退交姜义华教授“考虑处理”。感谢姜义华教授将文稿交本刊独家发表。
Professor Zhou Gucheng, a famous historian, was a former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Sixth and Seventh National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, the chairman and honorary chairman of the China Democratic Party of Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, and the executive chairman of the Bureau of the Chinese History Association. This year marks the centenary of his mother’s birthday. He is dedicated to commemoration of a speech recorded at a speech made by his 86-year-old in the history department of Fudan University. It was 1984, Fudan University, Math Building, the ground floor of the classroom, he spoke in relief for two and a half hours, as in previous classes, standing on the podium, did not sit down, not from time to time wrote the title on the blackboard. After the lecture, Prof. Jiang Yihua from the Department of History invited Comrade Zhou Xunfang to make a compilation according to the recording and invited Gu Lao to review it. Many old valley made a correction, Professor Jiang Yihua returned to “consider handling ”. Thanks to Professor Jiang Yihua for publishing the manuscript for publication.
