大学英语教师在大学英语教学过程中担负着设计教学目标、组织课堂教学实施大学英语教学活动等任务,教师要把社会要求和大学生的学习结合起来,为大学生学习提供帮助,提高大学生的学习效率。因此,在当代的大学英语教学过程中,教师一定要明确自己的主导地位,不仅要对大学生进行知识传授,还要对大学英语教学活动进行设计、组织、管理等。同时,教师也要严格按照当代大学英语教学提出的具体要求进行大学英语的课堂教学,符合知识要求、教学能力要求以及人格素质的要求等。只有这样,才能真正体现大学英语教师在大学英语教学过程中的主导地位。
