刘西尧原名刘锡尧,1916年出生于成都。1937年加入中国共产党,后出任中共黄冈中心县委书记、鄂皖地委书记、大冶地委书记等。1963年被授予少将军衔。刘西尧曾任第二机械工业部部长、教育部部长、中共四川省委书记处书记、全国政协常委。奉命在湖北筹建二汽 Liu Xiyao formerly known as Liu Xiyao, born in 1916 in Chengdu.
