在全国科技兴市的热潮中,地处沿海开放地区的中山市的科技兴市工作独具特色,他们把发展社会主义有计划的商品经济与依靠科技进步,促进社会生产力发展有机地结合起来;把扩大开放,深化改革与推动科技兴市工作紧密地结合起来。在短短的12年间,中山市走出一条适合中山特点的科技进步的路子,提前实现了由温饱向小康的转变,成为全国36个进入小康水平的城市之一。这里我们刊发中山市委书记谢明仁同志的文章,以期读者从中有所启迪。
