在汉民族众多的舞龙传统民俗中,客家火龙民俗是特别令人耳目一新、激情飞扬的特类之一了。她实际上是以舞龙为载体,以燃放烟火为主题娱乐方式的一组相关民俗的总称。民间称之为“烧火龙”、“舞火龙”。舞火龙、烧火龙民俗这一具有浓郁民间风情的客家民俗始于清乾隆六年(1741年),距今已有260余年历史了。主要盛行于丰顺县埔寨镇的埔南和埔北,成为当地年宵节庆和其他盛大典庆的必备内容。其声名远扬,曾赴深圳、珠海、从化、福建等地表演,中央电视台、广东电视台、香港电视台及一些国外电视台也曾录播。1993年由中央电视台举办的大型电视记录片“神州百姓闹元宵”也有埔寨的火龙表演者的身影。 Among the many ethnic Han nationality traditional dragon and dance, the Hakka dragon and the dragon are particularly refreshing, passionate one of the special class.
