The Chinese language teaching syllabus for middle schools lists reading ability as one of the abilities that middle school students must possess. However, in a specific language teaching practice, cultivating a student’s ability to read Chinese language seems to be a very difficult task. The main reason is the traditional Chinese teaching concept and its corresponding teaching model. In addition, the purpose of training modern middle school students’ Chinese reading ability is not clear. It does not quite understand the connotation of middle school students’ Chinese reading ability, and often makes our language teachers teaching. In the middle of the student’s language reading ability, the problem of training has to be discussed.
