Acer davidii Franch.and A.morrisonense Hayata,belonging to the family Aceraceae,are the two important forest tree species and are endemic to mainland China and Taiwan area,respectively.In order to investigate their population genetic structure and the pattern of gene flow between A.davidii and A.morrisonense,we have developed and characterized 21 novel mierosatellite markers for A.davidii using Illumina sequencing technology.And the cross-amplification analysis showed that 11 out of 21 primers have exhibited polymorphisms in A.morrisonense.In A.davidii,the number of alleles per locus ranged from three to twelve.The expected heterozygosity (HE) and the observed heterozygosity (Ho) ranged from 0.148 to 0.750 and from 0.000 to 1.000,respectively.In A.morrisonense,the number of alleles per locus ranged from four to fourteen.The expected heterozygosity (HE) and the observed heterozygosity (Ho) ranged from 0.450 to 0.854 and from 0.000 to 0.611,respectively.
