博物院展览的英译文属公示语范围,它除了具有信息传递的功能之外,还承担着文化传递的功能。因此,博物馆解说词的翻译是向外国游客介绍和传播中国历史文化的重要手段。本文通过对南京博物院系列展览的英译文状况考察,发现展览普遍存在译文不全,信息传递不完整等一系列问题,分析了其中原因,并提出了解决对策。 The English translation of the museum exhibition belongs to the range of public signs, which not only has the function of information transmission, but also undertakes the function of cultural transmission. Therefore, the translation of the commentary in the museum is an important means to introduce and disseminate Chinese history and culture to foreign tourists. Through the investigation of the English translations of the series of exhibitions in Nanjing Museum, this paper finds that there are a series of problems such as incomplete translation and incomplete information transmission in the exhibition, analyzes the reasons and proposes countermeasures.
