契约主要是指法律上的正式契约。众所周知,正式契约是书面化、非常明确化的,并且自它生效以后时刻受到法律的强制保护。虽然心理契约也涉及契约双方的相互关系,但与正式契约不同之处在于,心理契约是对各种成文的正式约定和不成文的非正式约定的主观感知。另外,心理契约是单方契约,它的形成是以员工或组织一方的单独约定为基础,并不要经由双方协商。并且正式契约在遇到问题需要修改及变更的时候,是需要契约双方协商一致同意以后才能修改,但心理契约的发生违背及变化的很多时候也只是契约的双方单方面的情况,并不需要得到对方的同意。
