基于香港特殊的地理环境,过去中国传统食品制造业非常发达,产品如豆奶、虫毫油、月饼、腊肠、粤式速冻点心等都大量出口至欧、美、澳、非各地。工业界吸纳外地新发展之食品配料,使制品之品质提升,又引入生产规律、营养及卫生观念,故除华人社会外,亦逐渐打入西方主流社会市场。
Based on Hong Kong’s unique geographical environment, traditional Chinese food manufacturing industry was very developed in the past. Products such as soy milk, worm oil, moon cakes, sausages, and Guangdong-style quick-frozen snacks were all exported to Europe, the United States, Australia, and Africa. The industrial community absorbs new food ingredients from other parts of the world to improve the quality of the products. It also introduces the rules of production, nutrition and hygiene. Therefore, apart from the Chinese community, it has gradually entered the mainstream Western market.
