If you are a manager, you may want to try this exercise. Write down the names of your people on the left hand side of the paper in descending order of efficiency, with the most efficient being at the top and the worst being at the bottom. On the right hand side, write down the same name, but this time with your time spent with them in descending order, with the most time in the first place and the least in the bottom. Now draw a straight line to connect the name on the left with the corresponding name on the right. Do you draw lines that cross? Nine or nine will cross.
