Yilin version of “primary school English” textbook (the same below) each unit Story Time part are based on illustrations of the story. These illustrations present the story of the story and its ins and outs in the form of a comic strip and intersperse the linguistic knowledge and story information in the dialogues and conversations between the figures. Story Time is the key section of each unit, and story learning is also around these illustrations. The new curriculum standards clearly put forward that pupils should be able to read simple stories with the help of pictures. If teachers can make good use of the illustrations properly, students can understand the text more deeply.
