湖北省译协宜昌分会于1988年11月5日在宜昌市成立。来自本地区各条战线的62名翻译工作者和外语教师出席了成立大会。湖北省译协、宜昌地区科协、宜昌市社会科学联合会、宜昌市外语学会,葛洲坝工程局施工科研所等单位的负责同志到会祝贺。大会通过了分会章程,推选了领导机构。秘书处设在葛洲坝工程局施工科研所内。
Yichang Branch of Hubei Provincial Association of Translators was established on November 5, 1988 in Yichang. 62 translators and foreign language teachers from all fronts in the region attended the inaugural meeting. Responsible comrades from Hubei Provincial Association of Tourism, Yichang Association of Science and Technology, Yichang Federation of Social Sciences, Yichang Institute of Foreign Languages, Gezhouba Engineering Bureau, Construction Research Institute and other units attended the congratulation. The Assembly adopted the chapter charter, elected the governing body. The secretariat is located in the construction research institute of Gezhouba Engineering Bureau.
