Hanau is one of the leading manufacturers of composite copper-containing and aluminum-added composite wires made from NbTi and Nb3Sn. Since the advent of oxide ceramic-based superconducting materials with high transition temperatures at the end of 1986, vacuum melting companies are also working on the development of such materials.
