邓小平指出:“社会主义的本质,是解放生产力,发展生产力,消灭剥削,消除两极分化,最终达到共同富裕。”这是坚持“人民利益高于一切”思想的必然产物和科学成果。高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜,坚持社会主义方向,就要像邓小平同志那样尊重实践,热爱人民,始终把人民利益的实现与否作为考虑问题的出发点和落脚点。学习邓小平的社会主义本质论,重温人民利益高于一切的思想,坚定地实践党的全心全意为人民服务的宗旨,对于推进改革开放和社会主义现代化建设事业,具有根本性意义。
Deng Xiaoping pointed out: “The essence of socialism is the liberation of productive forces, the development of productive forces, the eradication of exploitation, the elimination of polarization and the ultimate attainment of common prosperity.” This is an inevitable outcome and a scientific result of upholding the idea that “people’s interests are above all else.” . Holding high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory and adhering to the socialist orientation, we must respect our practice and love the people as Comrade Deng Xiaoping did, and always regard the realization of the interests of the people as the starting point and the foothold of considering the issue. Studying Deng Xiaoping’s theory of the essence of socialism, revisiting the thinking that people’s interests are above all else and resolutely practicing the party’s purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly have a fundamental meaning in pushing forward the cause of reform and opening up and the socialist modernization drive.
