因材施教是实现素质教育的重要手段,是大学英语教学中应普遍遵循的教学原则。然而,现实教学中存在着诸多误区,使因材施教实施起来困难重重。走出误区的关键是培养学生的主体意识,建立和谐的师生关系,增强学生的学习兴趣。教师应尊重学生发展和成材的客观规律,因人而异,因势利导,避免切割式的教学模式。
Teaching students in accordance with their aptitude is an important means to achieve quality education and is a teaching principle that should be generally followed in college English teaching. However, there are many misunderstandings in realistic teaching, which make it difficult to implement students according to their aptitude. The key to getting out of the misunderstandings is to cultivate students’ subjective awareness, establish a harmonious relationship between teachers and students, and enhance students’ interest in learning. Teachers should respect the objective laws of student development and achievement, vary from one person to another, and use cutting-edge teaching methods.
