It is known that the caudal nucleus of the solitary nucleus (SOL) receives visceral sensation and the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVH) regulates visceral function by secreting neuropeptides. Central gray matter (PAG) is an important part of the analgesic effect of endogenous morphine-like substances.
