Competitive intelligence is the most powerful and undervalued asset that Americans can have. U.S. companies must learn to take advance measures to deal with competitive challenges. Intelligence-based or information-based strategies can help in this task. It is also a task for the U.S. government to cooperate with U.S. industry. Competitive intelligence is a complex study. It is a process that wants to see something other than simply collected financial and market statistics. There is an understanding that many factors will affect the company’s final profit and loss situation. Competitive intelligence is information about the competitor’s capabilities, weaknesses, and intent. A large part of it is newspapers, magazines, technical newspapers, and government records.
