SRAAM is a new short-range combat air-to-air missile that is designed to handle the high accelerations encountered in battles and give pilots more chances to attack, but at a fraction of the cost. Its design ensures that it will work very short distances and even maneuvering to its design limits. At the same time, the maximum distance is comparable to existing air-to-air weapons.
