知识经济是相对于物质 经济而言的。知识经 济是知识积累和科技进步的必然,是物质经济的演进和后续。在这个意义上,知识经济可称之为“后物质经济”。知识经济作为相当长的历史时期中的经济形态,将不断更新其内涵。在当代,它的基本特征是信息技术和产业的崛起及其向一切领域的广泛渗透,在发达国家已经形成信息经济。不少专家认为,当代的知识经济就是信息经济。这种历史性的由物质经济向知识经济的转变,即由工业经济向信息经济的转变,正是21世纪的不可抗拒的经济革命。
Knowledge economy is relative to the material economy. Knowledge economy is the inevitable accumulation of knowledge and progress of science and technology. It is the evolution and follow-up of material economy. In this sense, the knowledge economy can be called “post-material economy.” As a long form of economic history, knowledge economy will constantly update its connotation. In the contemporary era, its basic characteristics are the rise of information technology and its industries and its extensive penetration into all fields, and the formation of an information economy in developed countries. Many experts believe that the contemporary knowledge economy is the information economy. This historic transition from a material economy to a knowledge-based economy, that is, from an industrial economy to an information economy, is an irresistible economic revolution of the 21st century.
