The “Exploration Geophysics Beijing (89) International Symposium” jointly sponsored by the China Exploration Geophysical Union and the American Association of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) was held in Beijing from August 22 to August 28, 1989. The National Natural Science Foundation of China sponsored the conference and Professor Wang Ren, deputy director of the committee, attended the conference. 482 delegates from 18 countries, including 119 from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
