作为中国和古希腊英雄史诗之代表的《格萨尔》和《伊利亚特》这两部共性很明显的中西方著名史诗,很少有人将其纳入叙事学比较研究的视野中去观照,更多的研究都集中在两部史诗的各自特征,尤其是国内外对藏族史诗《格萨尔》的研究多集中在艺人演述与版本整理的抢救式发掘与搜集,史诗情节、主题与人物研究,文化现象的思考等方面,而很少见到对《格萨尔》的叙事外在形式、内部情节结构、史诗心理描述等方面与《伊利亚特》的比较研究。
