未来制动系统的开发要点有三个:其一是使制动力接近粘着力极限。为了缩小整个列车的粘着力极限同制动力之差,应相应于各节车在编组中的位置,设定出符合各节车粘着系数的多条制动特性曲线。而为了最大限度地利用粘着力,还需要制动系统具有高的灵敏度。其二是提高粘着力极限。开发并应用车轮踏面清扫装置、钢轨清扫装置及增粘材料喷射装置,使车轮和钢轨保持适当的粗糙度,以增大粘着系数,从而提高粘着力极限。其三是在列车上加装与粘着力无关的制动系统。
