苏氏(鱼芒)鲶Pangasius sutchi(Fowler),又称暹罗河鲶,“Pla swai”,分类学上隶属于鲶形目(sifuriformes),(鱼芒)鲶科(Pangasiidae)。原产于东南亚的泰国、老挝、柬埔寨、越南等地,现已被亚洲地区许多国家引进养殖。(鱼芒)鲶是一种具有肉质好、体形大、生长速度快、饲料来源广、养殖产量高和适合多种养殖方式等优良经济性状的淡水鲶类之一。在泰国,当年养殖个体体重可达1~2公斤,较大个体达2~3公斤,是目前东南亚国家池塘、湖泊、山塘水库、江河及网箱养殖的重要鱼类,在泰国养殖已有相当长的历史。据泰国渔业部统计,
