商标是商品生产者或经营者为了使自己的商品同其他商品相区别而使用的一种标记,这种标记通常用文字或图形单独构成,或是文字、图形共同构成。商标翻译是把商标从一种语言转化成另一种语言,并要保持原有的风格及内涵。随着商标的不断国际化,其翻译具有重要的意义。成功的商标译名需要体现出企业的理念和产品的质量,尊重消费者的心理及地方传统文化。文中结合商标翻译实例,主要从文化角度对商标翻译进行了试探。
A mark is a mark used by a producer or operator of goods to differentiate their own goods from other goods. Such markings are usually composed of words or figures alone or together of words and figures. Trademark translation is the trademark from one language into another language, and to maintain the original style and content. With the continuous internationalization of trademarks, its translation is of great significance. Successful translation of the trademark needs to reflect the corporate philosophy and product quality, respect for consumer psychology and local traditional culture. In this paper, we combine the examples of trademark translation and tentatively probe into trademark translation mainly from a cultural point of view.
