In 1995, when Vietnamese Nguyen Huu Truc purchased the first mobile phone, the country had a fixed phone for every 100 people. In many people’s view, mobile phones are expensive and fresh stuff. The communication at that time was very difficult, which made Truc engaged in the embroidery business must spend a lot of time to contact suppliers and buyers. But now, Vietnam has 33 telephones for every 100 people, and two-thirds of them are mobile phones. The mobile phone has revolutionized Truc’s business and life, and now he can phone anywhere in Vietnam at a price of 10 cents per minute. “I can’t imagine the days without a cell phone. The cell phone is no longer something that the rich can afford. It is the basic way of communication.”
