人才素质测评在现代人力资源管理实践中广为运用,无论是军队、学校、医院还是政府机关与企业,都需要进行人才选拔、人员招聘、人员考评与职业能力鉴定等工作,其中对于素质的鉴别都需要实施人才素质测评。业绩我们可以直接觉察到,而一个人的内在素质,尤其潜在素质我们则很难直觉到,我们必须借助于测评手段才能把握。当一个人干过某项工作,我们可以通过考评确定他是否能胜任该项工作,而当一个人从未干过某项工作时,我们只有通过素质测评去推断他是否能干好。当我们断定他能干好该项工作时,我们才会选派他到这个岗位上去。
