常绿阔叶树在园林建设方面占有一定位置,但是京津地区能够越冬抗寒广泛用于绿化的树种甚少。大叶黄杨由于四季叶色青绿超群,树冠枝叶茂密,便于修剪造型,所以在华北地区各城市广为采用。但由于有树干丛生多节,生长缓慢的缺陷,所以多数作为灌木绿篱。为了利用大叶黄杨的优点,消除天然缺陷,1975年起,我们与顺义县引河林场、北京市大东琉苗圃协作进行了卫茅高接大叶黄杨的研究。现将四年来研究的阶段结果介绍如下: 一、砧木与接穗砧木为华北卫茅(丝棉木)(Evorymusbungeana Maxim),接穗为大叶黄杨(冬青)(Evorymus janonica thunb)。二者同为卫茅科卫茅属植物,亲缘关系较近。砧木采用4—5年生、胸径3—4厘米、高3—4米以上的大苗。根据所需树体造型,可分为单杆、双杆、三杆多种形式,均以粗壮为宜。接穗取直径O.6—O.8厘米,具健壮饱满芽的1—2年生
