艺术设计专业从目前国内高校发展的形式来看,无疑是热门专业,自1998年工艺美术学科更名位“艺术设计”专业以来,国内开设有艺术设计教育的高校已达1238所,在校学生120万人,艺术设计专业赶着1999年大学生扩招开始在各高校当中遍地开花,诸如环境艺术设计、包装设计、多媒体设计等等,丽江师专也无一例外地从2008年开始招收三年制艺术设计专业,计划招生40人,实际报到有27人,2009年计划招生40人,实际报到有51人,2010年计划招生40人,实际报到有45人,2011年计划招生40人,实际报到有57人,从这一组数据来看,我校艺术设计专业的学生逐年递增,招生工作成绩喜人。在看到成绩的同时,让我们值得深思的是如何把招进来的学生培养成合格人才,本文从丽江师专高职类艺术设计专业的实践教学入手,浅析艺术设计专业教学的改革和发展方向。
