在我国规划的十二个水电基地中,被称为“水电富矿”的金沙江是我国多年规划的,具有重要战略地位的最大水电基地。 金沙江水量丰沛而稳定,年平均水量1450万立方米,相当于3条黄河,金沙江落差又达3300米,它每向前流1公里,就下降1米多,丰富的水量和巨大的落差,给金沙江带来巨大的水能资源,总蕴藏量达1亿千瓦,占全国的六分之一。 2002年,国家计委正式同意金沙江下游4座电站由中国三峡总公司担任项目法人。这里我们向读者介绍金沙江下游梯级电站前期工作的概况。
