吹塑成形工艺是将热塑性塑料的管状料坯或袋状料坯放在模具中,从设置在料坯上的吹气口送入0.5~0.7Mpa的压缩空气,将坯料压向模具壁面,冷却固化后形成所需形状的加工方法。以往,吹塑成形主要用于制造瓶类等中空容器。近10年来,随着吹塑成形工艺的不断发展,逐步转入生产非容器类塑料制件。其中主要有汽车结构零件,办公室机器零件和家用电器中的吹塑件。由于这类塑料件的用途、所使用的原材料、形状、加工设备及加工方法与原来的吹塑成形工艺不相同,因而被称为高技术吹塑成形工艺。
