2004年,我国农民收入打破了1996年以来增幅连续下降的格局,人均纯收入达到2936元,比上年增加了314元,名义增长率12%,实际增长6.8%,是1996年以来农民收入增长最快的一年。由于农民收入明显增加,城乡居民的收入差距由上年3.23:1缩小到3.2:1。因此,在收入迅速增加的情况下,农民消费开始活跃,农村市场也由冷趋暖,2004年县及县以下社会消费品零售总额同比增长了10.7%,比上年增幅提高了3.9个百分点。进入2005年,一季度农民人均现金收入同比增长11.9%,比去年同期提高了2.7个百分点,受农民收入较快增长的影响,农村社会消费品零售总额增长持续走高,1~3月增长幅度达到11.7%,比去年同期提高了4.1个百分点,是近几年来增长幅度最高的。
