孔子之仁的思想，一方面体现了道德理性的自觉，另一方面体现了人类意识的自觉。仁之“爱”即是“爱类”，爱世界上所有的人，孔子的思想是以爱人类为中心的世界主义。在孔子的世界主义思想中又内在地包含着民族文化认同的思想，对华夏文化传统的认同强化了中华民族的统一意识，也促进了华夏族与少数民族的相互融合与多元互补。近代以来，孔子的世界主义与民族文化认同思想得到继承并具有了新的时代内容。在当今经济全球化的浪潮中，我们应保持“国家主义与世界主义的折中”。
The idea of Confucius’ benevolence, on the one hand, reflects the moral rational consciousness, on the other hand reflects the consciousness of human beings. The “love” of benevolence means “love class” and loves all the people in the world. Confucius’s thought is cosmopolitanism centered on love of mankind. In Confucius’s cosmopolitanism, it embodies the idea of national culture identity. The recognition of the Chinese cultural tradition reinforces the unified consciousness of the Chinese nation and promotes the mutual integration and mutual complementarity of the Huaxia ethnic group and the ethnic minorities. Since modern times, Confucius’s cosmopolitanism and national cultural identity have been inherited and have a new content of the times. In the tide of today’s economic globalization, we should maintain the “compromise between nationalism and cosmopolitanism.”
