高水头抽水蓄能电站一般为长管道多机组的复杂系统，机组上游压力即蜗壳水压力对机组的控制极为重要。现提出用原有调速器作为压力反馈环节进行压力控制，来完善关闭规律的方法，在计算机上用数字仿真的方法说明其有效性，最后还讨论了调速器参数对控制效果的影响。
