In September 2012, the first overseas training team of science teachers in Pudong New Area came to Towson University in Maryland to attend a four-week training program. During this period, we visited a total of eight high schools and listened to more than 20 lessons. They not only fully realized the differences in science teaching methods between the two countries, but also experienced the charm of the American chemistry experiment teaching. Let’s take a look at the lessons learned from the junior high school chemistry experiment lesson entitled “Material Separation” at Maryville Preparatory School. According to teaching requirements, students in this class need to learn to separate solid, liquid or gas mixtures. Teacher’s requirements for this lesson
