This article describes a new computer simulation program that uses a six-compartment physiology pharmacokinetic model to simulate drug delivery and transport. Through a man-machine dialogue, students are able to understand the main mechanisms that govern the placement of drugs in the organism. The potential benefits of this approach for teaching pharmacodynamics in universities and its important adjunct to therapies.
