在西藏高原的兰天雪山下,有许多藏传佛教的实物和遗迹。诸如暗红色的寺庙、白色的佛塔、摩崖刻石、玛尼墙、五颜六色的经幡等等。寺庙内有辉煌的壁画,“唐卡”画和各种雕塑艺术品。而佛塔,或称佛骨塔、灵塔,也有着自己的独特面貌。佛塔原为收藏佛或其弟子的舍利,以后也有为纪念重大宗教事件而建的(青海塔尔寺内,有八座如意宝塔,为纪念释迦牟尼的八件
