根据南沙深水区17957和17959两柱状样多门类的生物事件研究,发现9个生物事件。其中放射虫事件6个,有孔虫事件2个,钙质超微化石事件1个。这些生物事件直接与氧同位素和古地磁资料对比所得的年龄,与赤道太平洋和印度洋的年龄均相对应。这是中国海深海区第四纪地层第一次多门类的生物地层学研究,将为南海第四纪古海洋学研究提供重要的地层学基础。这两个柱状样沉积速率的计算结果表明,该海区为南海最低沉积速率区(1.0~19cm/103a).
According to the biological events of 17957 and 17959 two columns in Nansha deepwater area, 9 biological events were found. There were 6 radiolarian events, 2 foraminifera events and 1 calcareous ultrafossil event. The age at which these biological events are directly related to oxygen isotopes and palaeomagnetic data corresponds to the age of the equatorial Pacific and the Indian Ocean. This is the first multi-disciplinary bio-stratigraphic study of the Quaternary stratigraphy in the sea area of China’s sea and will provide an important foundation for the study of Quaternary paleoceanography in the South China Sea. The calculated results of the two columnar deposition rates show that the sea area is the lowest in the South China Sea (1.0 ~ 19cm / 103a).
