次择之韵,聊纪秦事不知四海已扬汤①,舞殿歌台乐未央②。五帝威神等牛马③,六王子女尽嫔嫱④。仙心久已攀姑射⑤,辨口从教泣华阳⑥。行客讵明千古意⑦,虚疑霞佩响琳琅⑧。【注释】①扬汤——沸腾。比喻大乱已起。②未央——没有完了。③五帝——传说中的中国历史上最早的五个“帝”,少昊、颛顼、高辛、唐尧、虞舜。④六王——战国时代秦以外的六国(韩、赵、魏、齐、楚、燕)国王。⑤姑射——我国古代神话,有姑射山,上面有神仙。攀,攀登。到姑射山寻访神仙。这句诗讥讽秦始皇求仙。
