读者服务是图书馆一切工作的出发点和归宿,体现着图书馆的存在价值,因此提高服务质量、优化服务手段,是图书馆管理的一个永恒的主题。随着信息技术日新月异的发展和网络技术的普及,作为传统文献服务机构的图书馆,其职能和社会功能受到了新技术发展所带来的挑战,尤其是读者服务工作,面临着新形势的冲击和挑战。因此,我们更应该树立自己的形象,创造出我们的“名牌”服务。本文主要从切实抓好思想教育;建立合理的管理机制;提高图书馆馆员的素质及服务质量;创建方便、快捷的服务方式;以人为本,统筹兼顾各类型读者需要,实现读者愿望,满足读者需求五方面就新时期如何深化和拓展图书馆的读者服务工作、提高服务质量探讨一二。
