基础图案是设计类专业本、专科各科教学中不可缺少的公共装饰基础课程,这个课程在设计人才知识结构中所占的课时比重并不多,但既然是基础,便不是可有可无的教学内容。基础图案中有关纹样造型、装饰手法、色彩运用等方面训练如何,将直接影响设计人才的修养和能力。设计类专业均将该课列入教学计划,但在教学的过程中如何改变为教学而教学的状况,如何与专业设计主课联系得更为紧密,便是值得研究和探讨的。本文试从三个方面对基础图案课的教学方向进行阐述。1、基础图案与设计修养的培养由于艺术设计的边缘学科性质,决定了设计师必须把握的现代设计理论和相关学科知识的丰厚与广泛,它涉及社会学、美学、市场学、经济学、传播学、色彩学、艺术学、设计方法论等等,图案作为设计师的专业设计基础,要在项目设计中运用自如,必须掌握广泛的知识和修养。包豪斯学院的教师克利认为“艺术上的视觉感受是神秘的,不能教授
