现代建筑广泛应用混凝土材料,不像传统方法上控制水泥混合的配比、制作工艺等,莱斯大学的科学团队直接深入纳米级来研究水泥微粒,通过控制水化硅酸钙(C-S-H)结晶、粒子特殊微观形状,来使得水泥微粒形成特殊形状,如立方体、三棱柱、枝状晶体、核-壳结构、菱面体等等,这样可编程的微粒可以使得材料密度更高,具备防水和牢固的微观结构。
