根据植物生物学特性,利用生态学、气象学原理及林木种子的天然下种更新能力,采取综合技术措施,在半干旱石质山区利用飞机撒播乔灌草(油松、沙打旺、柠条、草木樨)1300多公顷。播后6年调查,保存面积占有效面积89.4%,油松高59.7cm、地径1.9cm。并指出了适地适树、适时适量播种的重要性,播种后加强管理是提高成苗率的关键,混播产生近期效果显著。为今后在北方半干旱石质山区进行飞机混播乔灌草造林,探索出一条捷径。
