Rheumatoid neutrophilic dermatitis (RND) is a rare skin manifestation in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Since Ackerman first described the disease in 1978, only eight cases have been reported in the literature. RA patients with this extra-articular appearance usually have a serum-type rheumatoid factor (RF) positive and have a serious condition, but the skin lesions have no symptoms. Previously reported RND is common in middle-aged women, the rash can be urticaria-like or ring-shaped, can also be expressed as erythema, subcutaneous papules, plaques and nodules, mainly in the trunk, neck and limbs. A single injury lasted 1 to 3 weeks, can relieve itself or with the improvement of RA and self-healing, usually without leaving scars, but there may be transient pigmentation.
