Confucianism and Taoism are the two major ideological and cultural mainstreams that have a profound impact on history in China. Their perception of life and death is their core issue. Confucianism and Taoism have their own unique views on life and death. Confucianism is born again and desperately, emphasizing that man must have his or her own way. The Taoist life is distressed, emphasizing that man should follow his or her path and not pursue anything beyond his or her own. The two also have something in common, that is, to respect life and cherish life. Both the concept of life and death have a far-reaching impact on people’s life value and play an important role.
