蔡元培(1868～1940)出身科举,是清末的翰林学士。但是,在中国近现代史上,他却最终以一个伟大的民主革命家和教育家而著称于世。同时,他还是一位杰出的学者和中国最早的女权鼓吹者。所有这一切,都曾产生过重大的影响。由此,蔡元培才名副其实地堪当“现代中国知识界的卓越前驱”。
Cai Yuanpei (1868 ~ 1940) was born in the imperial examination, is the Late Qing Hanlin bachelor. However, in the modern history of China, he was eventually known as a great democratic revolutionary and educator. At the same time, he is an outstanding scholar and earliest advocate of women rights in China. All of this has had a significant impact. As a result, Cai Yuanpei was worthy of the name of “the forerunner of modern Chinese intellectuals.”
