程序设计语言是提高现代军事系统“智商”的一种重要工具。程序设计语言一经选定,不仅确定了系统工程师研制具有能适应各种威胁的系统的能力,而且也会对系统实现(procurment)与所有权代价(cost)产生关键性的影响。毫不夸张地讲,今天对程序设计语言所作的判定将强烈地影响着我们军队明天的武器系统的数目与战斗力。本文首先陈述与军事系统有关的软件问題,然后逐步研究它们对专用程序设计语言的要求及评价现有语言如何满足这些要求。文章着重介绍了Ada的发展状况与国内外的反映,并预测了Ada对未来市场的冲击情况。
Programming language is an important tool to improve the IQ of the modern military system. The programming language, once selected, not only identifies the system engineer’s ability to develop a system that accommodates various threats, but also has a crucial impact on procurment and ownership costs. It is no exaggeration to say that today’s judgment on programming languages will strongly affect the number and combat effectiveness of our military’s weapons systems tomorrow. This article begins with a description of software issues related to the military system, and then gradually studies their requirements for specialized programming languages and evaluates how existing languages satisfy these requirements. The article focuses on the development of Ada and its reflection at home and abroad, and forecasts the impact of Ada on the future market.
