英国一家公司生产轻重量芯子材料Sphere-tex,它是一种空心微球与增强纤维结合的材料。据报道,用Spheretex芯子材料可以使标准玻璃钢产品的重量减少50％以上,并且,这种微球比同类芯子材料对树脂的吸收率低40％多。Spheretex芯子材料中使用的纤维有碳纤维和芳纶纤维。
A British company produces lightweight core material Sphere-tex, a hollow microsphere-reinforced fiber-bonded material. Spheretex core materials are reported to reduce the weight of standard FRP products by more than 50%, and the microspheres contain more than 40% less resin than similar core materials. The fibers used in Spheretex core materials are carbon and aramid fibers.
